Jamaica to take advantage of EPA
Prime Minister, BruceGolding said Jamaica must begin preparing its projects for European financing, so the country can benefit fully from the development component of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
The Prime Minister was reporting to parliament yesterday on the signing of the EPA between the European Union and some Caribbean countries on the weekend.
He said he has already identified the country’s education transformation programme as a possible target for financing under the EPA.
The Prime Minister is encouraging local producers and service providers to take advantage of the niche opportunities that will arise in the European market when the agreement comes into effect.
