Tuition fee deadline today

Published:Wednesday | December 19, 2007 | 7:51 AM

Parents have until the end of today to collect tuition fee refunds from their children’s secondary schools.

The refunds are in keeping with the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) promise to abolish secondary tuition fees if it were elected the next government.

Having won the election, the party announced that parents who had already paid the fees would be refunded.

But Director of Communications in the Ministry of Education Dr. Charlene Ashley says if the money is not collected today, it will be donated to the schools.
