Former netball captain Simone Forbes banned

The Jamaica Anti-doping Commission has banned netballer Simone Forbes for three months after the disciplinary committee ruled that the former captain violated an anti-doping regulation.

A drug test, administered a month ago, discovered Clomiphene, which is listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency as an illegal doping agent.

The panel, consisting of Kent Gammon, chairman, former Olympian Juliet Cuthbert and Dr. Peter Charles, deliberated for approximately half an hour before coming to the decision.

The ban ends on July 18.
