Fewer Jamaicans living in poverty
The Government is reporting that fewer Jamaicans are now living in poverty.
This is one of the key findings in the latest Survey of Living Conditions.
Acting Permanent Secretary in the Information Ministry, Faith Innerarity made the announcement at a Post Cabinet press briefing today.
She claims the Programme of Advancement through Health and Education, PATH, has significantly helped poor children.
As a result Mrs. Innerraity said their school attendance has improved.
