Windies struggle against SA \'A\' team

West Indies were bowled out for 193 by South Africa ‘A’ on today’s opening day of their four-day match at Buffalo Park.



Runako Morton top scored for the regional side with 54 runs against the bowling of Monde Zondeki five for 39, Vernon Philander two for 40 and Charl Langeveldt two for 55.



Darren Sammy and Rawle Lewis scored 40 runs each, Marlon Samuels 14, while Devon Smith and Darren Ganga got 10 runs each.



South Africa ‘A’ closed on 78 for one, with Sammy taking the only wicket to fall.



West Indies and South Africa will meet in the first Test on Boxing Day, December 26, in Port Elizabeth.



FIVE JAMAICANS IN UNDER 19 SQUAD

Five Jamaicans were named in a 15-man West Indies squad for the 2008 International Cricket Council Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia from February 17 to March 2.



They are Nkrummer Bonner, Andre Creary, Horace Miller, Shacaya Thomas and Jason Dawes
