Elleston Flats Football Club was yesterday banned from all competitions organised by the Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association for the remainder of the 2007 to 2008 season.

The decision was taken 11 days after referee Shane Harrison was hit unconscious with an object by an Elleston supporter.

Harrison was officiating a Super League game between Elleston Flats and Constant Spring at the UWI Bowl when he was hit.

Harrison received five stitches to his mouth.

The Disciplinary Committee of KSAFA also ruled that the club should reimburse all medical expenses incurred by Harrison.

The Club was also fined $25,000 for breaching KSAFA’s security rules and guidelines.
