Leaders Portmore United yesterday maintained their healthy six-point lead in the Cash Plus Premier League, despite suffering a 1-nil defeat to Waterhouse in a game played at Ferdi Neita Park in Portmore.

It was the second defeat for Portmore United in the League, both at the hands of Waterhouse. Portmore United are still on 27 points, six ahead of Tivoli Gardens; who lost 2-1 to August Town at the University of the West Indies field.

Waterhouse now jumped to third place on 20 points, one ahead of fourth place Harbour View, who edged Reno 1-nil in a late game at Harbour View Mini-Stadium.

Meanwhile, it took Village United 13 games to get off the mark. They stopped St Georges of Portland 2-nil at the Elliston Wakeland Centre in Trelawny.

In the days’ other game, Arnett Gardens came from two goals down to draw 2-all with Sporting Central Academy at the Anthony Spaulding Complex.
