The University and Allied Workers Union, UAWU says it’s still awaiting the payment of outstanding sums to some employees at the Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC.

First Vice President of the union Clifton Grant says the company’s management has failed to pay over funds which were deducted from the employees salaries over the last four months to the various lending and service institutions.

Mr. Grant says the JUTC management has made several promises to make the payments.

The payments were promised in August and November, however the payments are yet to be made.
