Alleged gunman killed and gun recovered

The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) is now probing the circumstances under which members of a police team killed a man and seized an illegal gun over the weekend.



Thirty-five(35) year old Fitzroy Gordon, of West Street in Kingston was killed during an alleged shoot out with the police. A 9 mm Desert Eagle pistol with eleven rounds was reportedly taken from him.



The police report that about 7:30 on Saturday night, a police team was conducting patrols on Chancery Lane area when members came under gunfire from a group of gunmen. The police say they returned the fire and the men ran. During a search of the area, Gordon was found suffering from gunshot wounds and clutching the illegal weapon.
