Batsman Danza Hyatt and left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cotterell have been called up to Jamaica’s squad for their second round clash, with Barbados starting on Friday at Sabina Park in Kingston.

They replace Chris Gayle and Andre Russell, both of whom have left to play in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Hyatt is a right-hander who has played nine One-Day Internationals for the West Indies, but failed to make the 13-man squad for the first game against Windward Islands.

Jamaica won that game inside three days on Sunday.

The 21-year-old Cotterell has only played 20/20 cricket to date, taking five wickets in three matches during the recent Caribbean T20 campaign.

Jamaica will miss both Gayle and Russell, who were instrumental during the team’s win at the weekend.

Gayle smashed 165 in the second innings while Russell grabbed a four-wicket haul to help rout the Windwards.

Meanwhile, Barbados cricket team arrived in the island yesterday. This will be their first game of the season.
