Kingston College sounded an early warning shot ahead of this year's ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships, winning two of the marquee boys 4x100m relays, first taking the class 1 event in an impressive 40.59, ahead of this season's hot team Green Island, 40.97, and St George's 41.24.

They then took the Class 4 equivalent in 44.80 ahead of Wolmer's 46.13 and Calabar, 46.75.

Defending champions Jamaica College will not be going quietly and set a blistering new record in the Class 2 event with 40.76, erasing the old mark of 41.04. Wolmer's were second in 41.21 while Calabar ran third in 41.43.

In Class 3, Wolmer's took advantage of a fall from the Kingston College anchorman to win 43.94, with Calabar running second in 43.97.

Vere Technical's Shericka Jackson turned in one of the best runs of the meet, pulling back a 20m deficit to lead her team to a close win over Flying Angels of Canada, 45.67, in the Class 1 girls 4x100m with a time of 45.63. Edwin Allen were third in 46.14.
