Murray, Antonie out of Grenada squad

Former West Indies wicketkeeper, Junior Murray, and veteran batsman Clivroy Antoine have been omitted from Grenada’s 16-man squad for the Stanford 20/20 competition in Antigua.

Antoine was accused of playing a key role in the brief strike by the national team recently.

Antoine boycotted the training sessions at the National Stadium after the other players called off their protest.

The players refused to take to the field after their return from a practice series in Trinidad and Tobago. They were demanding signed contracts and EC$1,000 each in monies owed to them from last year’s competition.

Murray did not participate in the national inter-parish competition, but was included in the squad, which played several practice matches in Trinidad and Tobago earlier this month.
