The president of the National Transport Co-operative Society (NTCS) Ezroy Millwood is dead.

Millwood, who was 70 years old, was found dead at his home in Leas Flat, St Andrew, shortly after 3 o’clock this morning.

Police investigators say they do not suspect foul play.

In a statement, the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) said the body was carefully examined by scene of crime detectives, but no mark of violence was found.

However, CCN says a post-mortem has been ordered and adds that Millwood’s relatives can have their own pathologist present.

The NTCS, under Mr Millwood’s leadership, successfully sued the Government for breach of its franchise agreement and was awarded more than $1.8 billion in damages.

In June, the Court of Appeal granted the Government the go ahead to challenge the award before the United Kingdom-based Privy Council.
