Credit union staff return to work
The National Workers Union (NWU) instructed employees at the four branches of the Westmoreland Cooperative Credit Union to return to normal duties this morning.
On Monday, the workers walked off the job in protest, claiming that the company owed them bonus payments for 2007.
They said it is in breach of an agreement between the workers and the financial institution.
President of the NWU, Vincent Morrison, said a meeting is scheduled for today with the Ministry of Labour.
The NWU represents more than 40 workers employed to the organisation.
