WESTERN BUREAU:

Three months after giving birth to a bouncing baby girl, it was a graceful Etana who took the stage at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in Trelawny Friday night.

‘The Strong One’ back on her musical journey, is also raring to release her latest album ‘A Better Tomorrow’, on February 26.

At the same time, Etana is busy promoting her new roots wine, Jam and Drink, made from sorrel, under the brand Organic Vision.

In an interview backstage this evening, after a commanding performance to the pop, reggae, Jazz and rhythm and blues audience, Etana gave a sneak preview of her new album.

“A Better Tomorrow is all live music,” she stated, admitting that this was not normal in today’s music studios.

“You feel it in your bones! That is what I was trying to capture,” said Etana of the compilation of music produced by Tuff Gong Studios.

She describes the 14 songs on the album as a mix of inspirational and happy music, with one song a dedication to her three-month-old daughter.

“There is a baby song,” she revealed.
