Man killed in alleged rape attempt

The Morant Bay Police say they are carrying out further investigations into the death of 39-year-old Phillip Bell otherwise called ‘Bell Boy’ of Blacksmith lane, Seaforth, St. Thomas who was chopped to death at his home yesterday.

The police say about 4:40 p.m., two girls – 16 years old and 14 years old – of St Thomas addresses were lured to Bell’s house to use his computer.

Bell allegedly attempted to rape the girls when one of them in defence, used a machete to chop him.

The Police were summoned and Bell taken to hospital where he later died.
