Kenyans are also celebrating Barack Obama’s historical win to the White House.

Obama’s father, a man he barely knew, was from Kenya’s Nyanza Province.

In 2006, Obama reportedly made it clear that his political priority was the American people.

However, Kenyan’s are said to be hopeful that his presidency will improve their livelihood.

They believe that having Obama as US president can only mean progress for Kenya.

Many are also said to be optimistic on an increased chance of getting a visa to the US.

Business people in Kenya have reportedly expressed hopes that an Obama presidency will also mean more funding for key infrastructural projects such as hospitals and roads.
