South African batsmen Ashwell Prince and AB de Villiers smashed centuries today to push their team further ahead on day two of the deciding third Test against the Windies.

Resuming on 213-1, Hashim Amla and Graeme Smith fell early, but their replacements later hammered the West Indies until captain Smith declared.

Jaques Kallis (74), Prince (123 not out) and de Villiers (103 not out) extended the lead to 417 as the Proteas declared on 556-4 in reply to the 139 all-out set by the Windies.

When stumps were drawn, the Windies were trailing by 394 on 23 without loss.

Daren Ganga is on 6 and Brenton Parchment on 17.

With three full days to play, the Windies will need a miracle, or hope for rain, to avoid a dismal defeat.
