After eluding the police for several hours, a man suspected of killing his brother in the parish of St Thomas yesterday has been taken into police custody.

The St Thomas Police have confirmed that the man was handed over to them late yesterday by citizens of Sommerset district.

His name is being withheld, but he is to be questioned in connection with the death of 36-year-old Leroy Lindsay, an elder at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the area.

It’s reported that Lindsay was stabbed several times after he and his brother got into an argument over a missing telephone charger.

Meanwhile the St Thomas Police has commended the citizens for their action.
