Jamaica’s young Reggae Girlz have won Group C of the first-ever CONCACAF Under-15 Girls’ Tournament in the Caymanas Islands.

The young Reggae Girlz took the group honours last night after battling to a goalless draw with Costa Rica in a top-of-the-table fixture at the T.E. McField Sports Complex.

Both teams, who had already qualified for the quarter-finals ahead of the game, finished the preliminary phase locked on seven points after three games.

However, the young Reggae Girlz won the group courtesy of goal difference.

In the other Group C game, Belize and Anguilla played to a 1-1 draw in a bottom-of-the-table clash.

The two teams ended the round on a point each.

The tournament comprises 16 teams divided into four groups of four.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, which will take place tomorrow.

The semifinals will take place on Friday with the winners competing in the final and the losers contesting the match for third place on Sunday.
