'Ethical' to use untested Ebola drugs, says WHO
The World Health Organization says untested drugs can be used to treat patients infected with the Ebola virus.
According to the WHO, it would be ethical to use the untested drug in light of the scale of the outbreak and high number of deaths.
More than 1,000 people have died in West Africa.
Medical experts met in Switzerland on Monday to discuss the issue of the use of untested drug to treat Ebola patients.
Officials have warned there are very limited supplies of potential treatments.
Last week the WHO declared the Ebola outbreak a global health emergency.
