VOLLEYBALL: T&T beat Jamaica to secure team titles in Carib Championships

Jamaica had to settle for second place in women’s team action at the 15th Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association Championship in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The championship ended at the weekend and Jamaica lost in straight sets to hosts T&T in the women’s team final at the Jean Pierre Complex.

Jamaica lost 25-12, 25-13, 25-12 in just 72 minutes.

With the 2014 title, T&T’s women equalled Barbados’ record haul of six titles.

T&T also won the men’s team title with a come-from-behind 22-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19 victory over Barbados.

For T&T’s men, the title was their second in four years following their maiden success in the 2010 championship.
