CRICKET: Gayle's Tallawahs face Bravo's Red Steel
The Chris Gayle-led Jamaica Tallawahs will clash with Dwayne Bravo’s Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel today in St Kitts to decide which team moves closer to join Barbados Tridents in the 2014 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Final.
The game will take place at Warner Park.
The winner of today’s clash will meet Denesh Ramdin-led Guyana Amazon Warriors tomorrow to decide the second finalist of the CPL.
Jamaica Tallawahs, the defending champions, found themselves in this position after failing to hold on to their lead on a dramatic final day of the regular season.
The Tallawahs lost by 88 runs to Kieron Pollard’s Barbados Tridents on Sunday to slip to fourth place.
With the victory, Tridents catapulted from fourth place into first to earn a bye through to the tournament final based on having the best net run rate after finishing deadlocked with the Tallawahs, Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel and Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The Grand Final takes place on Saturday
