Private security team kills two alleged robbers in St James

Two alleged robbers were this morning shot dead by members of a private security team in Fign near Irwin, St James.



The Montego Bay police say about two o’clock this morning, members of the Hawkeye Security team received information about the theft of a Toyota Hiace minibus in Hanover.



The Toyota Hiace minibus was intercepted in Bogue in St James.



It is alleged that three men got out of the vehicle and opened fire at the private security guards who returned the fire hitting the two men.



The third man reportedly escaped.



The police say the injured men were taken to hospital, where they died while being treated.
