KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says it will be introducing a new-look electricity bill this month.

According to the JPS, this is part of the current roll out of the JPS service upgrade to a new Customer Information System.

The JPS says the new system will will also eventually enable faster reconnections, fewer estimated bills, personalised service and quicker resolutions to customer issues.

The JPS says the new-look bill is pressure-sealed and represents the direction in which many modern companies have gone.

The light and power company says the new bills will continue to provide customers with the critical information like balance brought forward, payment, current charges, total amount due, and energy used.
