FOOTBALL: Reggae Girlz in action as Caribbean Women's Cup begins

Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz will be in action today when the first-ever Caribbean Women’s Cup in Trinidad and Tobago begins.



The Reggae Girlz will start against Puerto Rico.



The game will be played at the Ato Boldon Stadium, beginning at 5 p.m.

The Caribbean Women’s Cup comprises eight teams and Jamaica will play in Group A with Puerto Rico, Bermuda and Haiti.



Group B comprises the host nation, Antigua and Barbuda, Martinique and St Kitts and Nevis.



The winner and runner-up from both Group A and Group B will earn places at the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship, hosted in the United States.



And the tournament will also be used as a qualifying competition for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
