More water restrictions for Corporate Area communities

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The National Water Commission has announced changes to its water rationing programme for sections of the Corporate Area.



The NWC says it has had to adjust the periods when communities receive water because of ongoing dry spell.



The Commission says the communities of Papine and Beverly Hills will receive water between 4 a.m. and midday.



Gordon Town, Kintyre and Hope Pastures will be supplied between 4a.m. and midday every other day.



Meanwhile, the NWC says water will be supplied to Liguanea between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. while the University of the West Indies will get water between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m.



And the communities of Mona Heights and August Town will get water between 4 a.m.and 9 a.m. and again between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.



The NWC is urging customers to continue to store water and conserve.
