October court date for man charged with robbing travel agencies

One of three men charged in connection with a series of robberies of travel agencies is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident's Magistrate's Court on October 2.



Mark Spence is charged with receiving stolen property with receiving stolen property.



The identities of two other men charged with the same offence have been withheld as they are to face identification parades.



Spence and his two cronies who were arrested during an operation in Delacree Park, Kingston 13 last month are believed to be linked to organised crime syndicates.



The police say the men have been committing these robberies from 2013, stealing appliances, cash and other valuables from various travel agencies.



Investigators have reportedly recovered appliances, cash and jewelry values about $5.3 million.



The police say a stolen motor vehicle and twenty-four cellular phones were also recovered.
