The Office of the Children’s Advocate (OCA) is sending a team of investigators to Roadside district in St Ann where a two-year-old boy was beheaded on Friday, allegedly by a man of unsound mind.
In the meantime, the OCA says it is shocked and saddened by the incident.
According to Children’s Advocate Diahann Gordon Harrison, the level of violence against children is unacceptable and must be rejected by the society.
She says the OCA stands ready to support the police in ensuring that the killing is thoroughly investigated.
