Four cops suspected of corruption arrested by MOCA

Published:Tuesday | September 2, 2014 | 7:03 PM

The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) yesterday arrested four policemen in Manchester and Kingston for reasonable suspicion of corruption.

MOCA says the alleged breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act are being probed along with other offences.

It's reported that in February, a motorist travelling from Montego Bay to Manchester to transact business, was stopped by a team of Police in Manchester.

The policemen allegedly accused the motorist of being a scammer and took an undetermined sum of money from him.

A report was subsequently made to the police and a probe launched.

The four cops are scheduled to take part in identification parades, later this week.
