CRICKET: West Indies, Bangladesh face off in first Test

Published:Friday | September 5, 2014 | 9:00 AM

West Indies will be looking to continue their dominance over Bangladesh when the teams meet in the first of two Test matches, starting today at Arnos Vale in St Vincent.

The Caribbean side beat Bangladesh 3-0 in the preceding One-Day International series and is expected to carry the momentum into the Test series.

For the Bangladesh series, the West Indies have have picked a similar squad to the one that lost 2-1 to New Zealand in June at home.

The only change could be Kirk Edwards making way at Number Three for Jamaican batsman Jermaine Blackwood.

Bangladesh will be banking heavily on their batsmen against the West Indies.

Coach Chandika Hathurusingha says the batsmen will have to lead the fight since their bowling is limited.
