FOOTBALL: Wolmer's Boys begin Manning Cup season today

Last season's beaten finalists Wolmer's Boys will begin their 2014 campaign today when the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup football competition resumes.



The day will feature nine games across four groups.



Wolmer's Boys will start with an away Group E game against Clan Carthy High at Alpha Boys School.



Coach Ludlow Bernard believes the Heroes Circle-based school is ready to reclaim the title.



The Wolmerians were beaten 3-2 by Jamaica College in the 2013 championship match at the National Stadium.



Also in the group, Spanish Town High will face Trench Town at Prison Oval.



St George's College will also begin their campaign today.



They will play away to Waterford in their opening Group A fixture.



Campion will host Jose Marti on the group's other game.



Over in Group D, Camperdown will host Papine, Bridgeport will entertain Dunoon, while Haile Selassie and Greater Portmore will face off.



The remaining games are Kingston Technical against Norman Manley and Jonathan Grant facing STATHS.



All matches are scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
