BITU calls emergency meeting with Caribbean Airlines members

Published:Thursday | September 11, 2014 | 9:13 AM

The Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) has called an emergency meeting for today with its members employed to Caribbean Airlines Limited.

President General of the BITU, Senator Kavan Gayle, has indicated that this meeting has become necessary as a result of a high level of restiveness amongst these workers.

They are reportedly restive over the failure of the Airline's management to address outstanding issues and implementation of exacerbating operational changes which will impact them significantly without discussions and consultation with the Union.

The BITU says after today's meeting a determination will be made about the next steps in approaching the Airline’s Management.
