CRICKET: Former WICB President to be honoured

Immediate past President of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Sir Julian Robert Hunte will be honoured in his homeland St Lucia on the opening day of the second test between West Indies and Bangladesh tomorrow.



Hunte took over from Trinidadian Ken Gordon in 2007 before handing over the reins to Jamaican Dave Cameron last year.



Outside of cricket, Hunte served in several categories including St Luica’s Ambassador to the United Nations and President of the United Nations General Assembly between 2003 and 2004.
