FOOTBALL: Waterhouse face tricky assignment against DC United

Published:Tuesday | September 16, 2014 | 9:13 AM

Waterhouse will host US Major League side DC United in a Group Four Return Leg fixture of the CONCACAF Champions League today at the National Stadium.

The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

It will be the final preliminary round game for Waterhouse and they need victory to stay in contention for a spot in the quarterfinal round.

DC United, who defeated Waterhouse 1-0 in Washington in the first leg on August 20, have two games remaining after today’s fixture.

As a result of DC United’s two outstanding games, Waterhouse cannot afford to drop any points.

Waterhouse enter the game atop Group 4 with six points from three games, while second place DC United have three points from a game.

The other team in the group, Tauro FC of Panama is without a point from two games.
