FOOTBALL: Unbeaten teams Charlie Smith, Hydel return to action

Charlie Smith and Hydel will return to action today when the urban-area ISSA/LIME Manning Cup football competition resumes with eight games across three groups.



Both Charlie Smith and Hydel will enter the day with perfect records.



Charlie Smith, who lead Group B with nine points, will travel to Vauxhall High and are expected to extend their winning ways.



Vauxhall have so far tallied four points from four games to hold down third place in the group.



Also in the group, Mona will host Cumberland in a bottom-of-the-table fixture.



Hydel, the 2012 beaten finalist, will entertain fourth place St Catherine at the Caymanas field.



Hydel are leading the group with 12 points, seven clear of St Catherine.



There are two other games in the group.



Third place St Jago will host bottom place Penwood at Prison Oval in Spanish Town, while fourth place Eltham will tackle second place Calabar.



The remaining games are from Group C.



Those matches are Denham Town hosting Innswood in a top-of-the-table fixture at the Edward Seaga Complex, St Mary’s College tackling Edith Dalton and Ardenne playing Tivoli.



All matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
