40-year-old man drowns in Clarendon

Forty-year-old Davis Robinson of Savanna district in Hayes, Clarendon is suspected to have drowned at the Salt River Beach in the parish yesterday.



The Lionel Town Police say their information is that Robinson and two other men went fishing about 11 o’clock yesterday morning.



They say he reportedly dived into the water to retrieve a tool, which had fallen in.



While swimming, he allegedly got into difficulties and drowned.



The Police were alerted and Robinson was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
