FOOTBALL: Manning Cup resumes with return matches

Three unbeaten teams will be in action today as the 2014 ISSA/LIME urban-area Manning Cup football competition enters the return leg of matches.



Among the unbeaten teams who will see action are Charlie Smith and Hydel, who both lost their perfect records on Friday in away games.



Charlie Smith, who are leading Group B, will host last place Mona at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex.



In the first meeting between the schools, Charlie Smith won 1-0.



In the group’s other game second place Excelsior will host second-from-the-bottom Cumberland.



Over in Group F, Hydel, the 2012 beaten finalist will play away to third place St Jago at Prison Oval in Spanish Town.



Hydel won the first leg 1-0 and followed up with three other victories before losing their perfect record following a surprising 1-1 draw against St Catherine on Friday.



The other matches in the group are second place Calabar travelling to last place Penwood and fifth place Eltham hosting fourth place St Catherine.



Over in Group C, Denham Town the other unbeaten team will travel to Ardenne High, Tivoli will entertain Edith Dalton in a bottom-of-the-table fixture at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex, while third place Innswood and second place St Mary’s College will face off at Chedwin Park in St Catherine.



All matches are scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
