A 28-year-old man was murdered in Frankfield, Clarendon last night, in the latest act of violence to grip the community.

The police say preliminary reports indicate that Kirtude Jermaine Giscombe, also called ‘Scabby,’ was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the Railway district minutes after 8 p.m.

According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit, the man was reportedly walking in the area when he was approached by gunmen, who shot him.

He was pronounced dead at hospital.

No motive has been established for the killing.

The latest incident has deepened a growing fear in residents of the usually quiet north Clarendon community.

Residents claim a feud between developing gangs in the community is responsible for the violence.

Earlier this month, two men were shot and injured in their upholstery workshop in the community by unknown assailants.
