The Education Ministry is expressing condolences to relatives and colleagues of Demar Taylor, a teacher at Anchovy High School in St James, who died this week.

A statement from the Ministry says the teacher's lifeless body was discovered by family members at home on Tuesday evening.

Taylor was a past student of Anchovy High.

He was employed a year ago as a biology and integrated science teacher.

He previously worked at the institution as a lab technician before attending college.

The Ministry says the services of a trauma team which has been offering grief counseling to students and other members of staff will continue as long as is necessary.
