FOOTBALL: Five inter-zone spots up for grabs in daCosta Cup

Five schools will be looking to confirm their places in the inter-zone round of the ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup when the rural-area football competition resumes today with 22 return-leg games.



The five schools which are going after inter-zone spots are Edwin Allen from Group H, Marcus Garvey from Group I, Ewarton from Group K and Kemps Hill and Vere Technical from Group N.



Second place Edwin Allen, who will not be in action today, will join Clarendon College in the inter-zone round if third place Lennon fail to beat fourth place Thompson Town.



Over in Group I, second place Marcus Garvey need a point against third place Lennon at Drax Hall to join Cedric Titus as qualifier from the group.



Over in Group K, Ewarton also need a point to confirm their inter-zone spot.

They will visit third place Bog Walk.



Group leaders Dinthill have already qualified.



Over in Group N, Kemps Hill and Vere Technical both have weak opponents and are heavily favoured to advance.



Group leaders Kemps Hill will visit second-from-the-bottom Foga Road; while second place Vere will host bottom place Tacius Golding.

All matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
