Rain threat looms over first ODI in Kochi
Rain is threatening to affect the first One-Day International (ODI) between hosts India and West Indies in Kochi tomorrow.
The cricketers are now arriving for the day/night encounter, but the meteorological department has forecast scattered rain in Kerala for the next two days.
The meteorological department also added that the rain would be fairly widespread.
However, TC Mathew, president of the Kerala Cricket Association says that the cricket body was well prepared to handle any such situation.
Mathew says there was nothing to worry as the stadium has an excellent drainage system.
West Indies are under pressure entering the first ODI after losing their two practice matches to an India A team.
The teams will play five ODIs, one Twenty20 International and three Test matches.
