FOOTBALL: Walker Cup knockout kicks off today

The 2014 ISSA/LIME urban-area Walker Cup knockout football competition kicks off today with two quarterfinal matches at the Constant Spring field.



The Walker Cup knockout competition comprises the seven group winners of the Manning Cup and the best second place team.



Action at the venue starts at 1 o’clock in the afternoon with Denham Town facing Hydel.



Then at 3 o’clock, Holy Trinity will play Jamaica College in the second match.



Holy Trinity from Group E advanced as the best second place team.



The quarterfinal schedule ends tomorrow with another double-header at the Constant Sprint field.



Those matches are St George’s College against Camperdown High and defending champions Wolmer’s Boys against Charlie Smith.



The semi-final matches will be played on Wednesday, October 15.
