CRICKET: West Indies A facing defeat against Sri Lanka A

West Indies A are facing defeat against Sri Lanka A going into tomorrow’s fourth and final day of the first four-day match at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Cricket Stadium.



The Caribbean side, following on by 253 runs, was 267 for seven in its second innings at the close of Day 3.



The batsmen at the crease are Shane Shillingford on 56 and Jamaican Nikita Miller 37.



Kirk Edwards has so far top scored for West Indies A with 76, while Jamaican Jermaine Blackwood hit 39.



Lahiru Gamage and Seekkuge Prasana picked up three wickets apiece for Sri Lanka A.



Earlier, the West Indies A, replying to Sri Lanka A’ first innings total of 413, were bowled out for 160 after resuming on 96 for seven.



Jamaican Chadwick Walton top scored with 50, while Seekkuge Prasanna picked up six for 63.
