The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Central St Catherine, the constituency in which four men were robbed and killed yesterday, is appealing to residents to restrain themselves from any retaliation.

Natalie Neita-Headley says residents are fearful and angry following the incident which took place shortly after the four left the China Harbour Engineering Company office in Linstead with about $1.5 million.

The money was reportedly salaries for persons working on CHEC projects in the area.

Those killed have been identified as 29 Craig Harris, 33-year-old Kirk Foot, 43-year-old Carlton Scott, and 42-year-old Courtney Coulbourne who was a community liaison with CHEC.

Neita Headley says it has been tough coming to grips with the murders of the men who she called decent citizens.

The MP is urging residents to allow the police to do their investigations even as they search for answers.

Neita-Headley was expected to meet with the police and CHEC this morning over the situation.

The men's bodies were reportedly found in a car on the Jewpen to Bowers Wood main road yesterday.
