FOOTBALL: U-17 Boyz return home after CFU loss
Jamaica’s young Reggae Boyz are returning home after failing to win the Caribbean Football Union's Under-17 Championship Trophy in Haiti last night.
The Jamaicans, who entered the final with a perfect record, were beaten 2-0 by Haiti at the Stade Sylvio Cartor.
Jacques Saul Metellus led Haiti to the championship title with two goals.
The victory means Haiti have ended the tournament with a perfect record.
Earlier in the third place match, St Lucia beat Cuba 2-0.
The top two teams in each group plus the best overall third place team from the two groups will now move on to the CONCACAF stage.
Those teams are Jamaica , Haiti, Cuba, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago, the best third placed team.
The teams are competing for places at the 2015 Under-17 World Cup.
