Investigators to discuss fate of suspects in deadly Rockfort shooting

Top police investigators are scheduled to meet today to discuss the fate of the three men taken into custody in relation to last week’s triple murder in the east Kingston community of Rockfort.



Deputy Superintendent Hornet Williams, who is attached to the East Kingston Police Division, says the meeting will involve senior detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch and the Major Investigations Taskforce.



Meanwhile, he says the police have obtained a court order to keep the men in custody.



The men in custody are Paul Waite, otherwise called ‘Pappy’, a man known only as ‘Jah Bouki’ , a man known goes by the alias Duppy’ and another known only as ‘Monkey Man’.



The police reported that last Wednesday patrons were at a bar along St John's Road in the community after 7 p.m. when a group of gunmen pounced on them and opened fire indiscriminately.



Seven persons were shot in the attack, which killed three.



In a subsequent reprisal attack two persons were also shot.
