Multimillion-dollar fraud being investigated at Accountant General's Department

A joint operation involving members of the Revenue Protection Division (RPD) and Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) is now underway in the Corporate Area.



MOCA says the operation relates to irregularities and fraudulent activities totalling several million dollars which were uncovered through the Ministry of Finance & Planning’s continued modernisation efforts and adherence to strict protocols laid down by the Central Treasury Management System (CTMS) and the Principles of Public Financial Management.



Five persons have so far been detained.
