Still no plans to resurface Lady Musgrave Road... NWC, NWA squabble over repair protocol

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

There is still no definite plan for the resurfacing of the Lady Musgrave road in St. Andrew following works on the thoroughfare by the National Water Commission (NWC) last year.

The NWC had dug up sections of the road, which connects several corridors in the Corporate Area, to carry out a pipeline laying project.

However, since then, motorists have had to contend with the poor road conditions while the NWC and the National Works Agency (NWA) squabble over a protocol for carrying out the work.

Speaking on Independent Talk on Power 106 FM , communications and customer services manager at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, said there are still issues to be resolved.

Shaw did not elaborate on the issues but says a senior officer from the NWA has been mandated to fast-track a resolution.
