KINGSTON, Jamaica:

Defending champions St Elizabeth Technical High School, STETHS, will try to move a step closer to a semi-final spot when the quarterfinal round of the rural area ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup resumes today.

The day will feature the penultimate round of matches in the quarterfinal round.

There will be seven matches with STETHS hosting St James in Santa Cruz.

The game begins at 3 o’clock and is the second of a double-header.

It will be the second game for STETHS in four days as the school was involved in the inaugural Super Cup on Saturday.

The Santa Cruz-based school enters today’s fixture atop Group R with three points after beating Cedric Titus in its opening quarterfinal round game last week.

Petersfield are also on three points after a 2-0 victory over St James.

The opening game at the venue features Lacovia against Old Harbour.

Lacovia is leading Group P on goal difference, while Old Harbour is without a point.

Last year’s beaten finalists Garvey Maceo will be looking for their first points in Group S.

Garvey Maceo has a tough assignment against group leaders Clarendon College at JAMALCO at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
